Shubhankar Chakravorty
Senior Consultant, EY GDS

Constantly challenging myself to become a better-equipped storyteller, I have so far worked with Indian and foreign media agencies as well as large MNCs and the Government of India. I have produced content on topics related to economics, business, technology, governance, diplomacy, and culture. At the moment, I am developing content to meet the learning requirements of future workforce.

In Sept 2020, I joined the Global Learning Lab at EY as a senior consultant. Currently, I’m developing interactive, multimedia modules and programs (with gamification, animation, etc.) to drive the learning requirements of the future workforce.

Nov 2017 to Sept 2020, I wrote for The PRactice, a leading Indian communication firm. I developed a wide variety of content – from long-format to visual – for a clientage that spanned the Govt. of India to large MNCs, focusing on business, technology, etc.

Feb 2016 to Nov 2017, I worked as an analyst with The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). I authored news pieces and custom reports on global energy, telecom, and other key sectors. My coverage ranged from the Indian mobile market to the Canadian oil sands.

Sept 2013 to Jan 2016, I reported on North American firms, mainly from the energy & resources sectors, for Reuters. Besides tracking news on oil producers, telecom firms, and manufacturers, I produced special reports and interviewed Fortune 500 CEOs.

May 2012 to Aug 2013, I edited the foreign pages at an Indian national daily, The New Indian Express (TNIE). I consulted news wires and reporters to edit stories for multiple editions. I joined TNIE following my training across print, broadcast, digital, and radio.
