The ‘typical’ problem

The world can be pretty frustrating for neurodivergents.

Is it because they are idealistic, emotional, and fragile?

Nope.

Neurodivergents are guided primarily by logic and reason—far more than emotions and sentiments.

The neurotypical world, meanwhile, is exactly the opposite.

So, while the world repeats its blunders expecting different outcomes, neurodivergents have to stand by, pretending to be shocked and awed by the most obvious of things.

Let’s look at a couple of examples.

For FIFTEEN years, voters from my home state of West Bengal patronised an objectively incompetent political outfit that later became grossly corrupt. During this time, the state fell behind by decades, causing intergenerational damage.

This year, the same population voted in robbers to replace thieves.

Zero responsibility, zero critical thinking, zero introspection—and they are prepared to be shocked and awed, again. And the neurodivergents must join in!

Much the same has been unfolding at the national level.

Again, for THREE five-year terms, Indians supported a narcissistic sociopath who never graduated from any school, is a pathological liar, is deeply compromised, and who never takes accountability for anything!

Just because he tickled the deep-seated prejudices of otherwise highly educated and accomplished people, who suspended logic and reason in favour of emotions and sentiments.

Today, the future of their kids is being ruined, the country’s interests hurt, and the security and prosperity of its people threatened.

Zero responsibility, zero critical thinking, zero introspection—and they are prepared to be shocked and awed, again. And the neurodivergents must join in!

But this is more than just a “told you so” moment!

Over the last 12 years, fueled by the emotions and sentiments of its people, India has been left on four pillars:

  • Taxation (at an extortion level with shrinking benefits)
  • Consumption (soaring debt over wealth/asset creation)
  • Exploitation (of a population with diminishing security)
  • Outsourcing (without local IP creation/monetization)

The last two pillars often overlap.

India in 2047

The current Indian government is a future-tense government. Every decision and action of theirs manifests in an ever-extending future.

First, it was 2025, then 2030, and now 2047. Every one of India’s problems will be resolved by 2047, on the 100th anniversary of Indian Independence.

In 2047, India WILL become a global leader. In what? None of the paid experts will bet on their predictions!

In the meantime, the cost of living has steadily increased in India, while employment opportunities, income growth, and job security have consistently dropped.

Parallelly, public enterprises and resources are being privatised, and public investment in social services (healthcare, education, STEM R&D) is being curtailed.

Indigenous innovations and capabilities have been discouraged and restricted in favour of foreign investment.

Ironically, taxation and corruption have led to a consistent drop in foreign investment.

India today controls very little in the form of IP, assets, wealth, and resources—and these have only been dropping with the government and the corporate world selling out more of India.

(If you ever wondered how a few thousand foreigners took over India and plundered it for 200 years, killing scores of millions and looting trillions…)

A large section of privileged, informed, educated, and accomplished people have actively contributed to this dumpster fire!

I guess the idea is to use the chaos as a ladder because they think it won’t reach their lofty towers.

But if history is any proof, it always has, and it certainly will!

So, amid all these disruptions, one would expect the masses to think and act sensibly.

Naah!

Indians have been successfully distracted with imaginary enemies, again, shaped by emotions and sentiments while their future washes away in front of them.

I guess the neurotypical mindset is to treat life like the last 15 mins of a breakfast buffet.

So, to sum it up, there’s a nation where the population is still increasing, in a world that’s preparing for a shrinking population with AI and automation. It is a population that is trained to not think critically or question, one that’s shockingly disinterested in its own well-being, and one that’s increasingly at the mercy of agencies beyond its control.

Zero responsibility, zero critical thinking, zero introspection—and they are prepared to be shocked and awed, again. And the neurodivergents must join in!
